It is believed that one of the purposes of GABA is to combat fear or anxiety experienced when nerve cells are overexcited. By doing so, valerian may act as a mild sedative and anxiolytic.

5-HTP (Griffonia Seed Extract) Benefits: Is produced from the seeds of an African plant known as Griffonia simplicifolia. It works in the brain and central nervous system by increasing the production of the chemical serotonin. Serotonin has been found improve sleep, mood and pain.
